Summary of Speech
Is our goal a treatment suitable for all anatomical structures or is it just occlusion?
There are many treatment methods that can be applied to a patient in orthodontics. Each of these methods has distinct advantages and disadvantages. The work of us orthodontists is quite simple when our goal is only occlusion. We can use any treatment method and get it somehow. However, in this case, we are more likely to damage many other anatomical structures while establishing the occlusion. If we approach all anatomical structures such as TMJ, teeth and muscles as a whole, we will solve most of the problems in the patient. It is up to us to choose a treatment philosophy that does not harm human health and prioritizes long-term stability of treatment.
